[Sonos] Logging in

Premium subscribers that joined before our partnership with Facebook can log into Sonos with their unique username and password. 

 

However, users that login with their Facebook details will need to retrieve a username and create a device password.

 

With this username (a series of digits) and password, Facebook users can login to their partner devices (Sonos, Squeezebox, Onkyo, WD, Boxee Box or TiVo system).

I have tried this several times both in IE and Chrome but it doesn't work!

 

What now?

I would suggest you get in touch with the customer support team directly using the online contact form and they can troubleshoot this a little further with you. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

i got the same problem... asked 2/3 times for account info and no email (waited for 4 days or longer) so today requested it again so i hope it works now.

Im spotify user 1174355288. I' ve problem with spotify connection on Sonos. I' ve premium account and i' m using spotify username and password, not Facebook.. When i go on Sonos settings to activate spotify, I recieve and error Message, it says: problem with spotify account. What can I do? I will wait for your kind answer..i' m paying spotify premium and i've bought Sonos basically to play spotify..

When exactly did you receive your device password - it's only valid for 24 hours if I remember so you may need another one?

I received it on wednesday, and it diddn't work. So i have to ask for another password?

Yes, those passwords expire. Then follow the instructions on that sonos page. If you still have issues, please post details of exactly where it goes wrong. A screenshot would be great too 🙂

I had another password and i followed the instructions, but when i try to add spotify on Sonos ( before to out spotify username and password), this stops the process:

Hi, I'm having problems getting a device ID to enable me to link my spotify premium account with my sonos system. The help comment has a hyperlink to 'create device ID' but this judt directs me to my profile page, where there is no comment regarding device ID. I'm keen to get going so any help would be appreciated. i do not want to use Facebook if I can avoid it.

You don't need a device ID if you don't have a Facebook login style account. 

Just log into Sonos using your normal Spotify username and password.

I need help with this same issue.  I have sent multiple requests for a password to set up my sono's system and nothing, nada, zero, zilch.  This should be instantaneous and not only that but it took me two hours just to find my way here.  This should be simpler and straightforward.  In fact, there should be a very simple walk through on it.  You can't post that you need to create a device username and password and give a link that doesn't result in actually getting that password.  I'm not even sure this is gonna get me help.  It doesn't look like there is a direct link to technical support only a bunch of faqs which say the same thing over and over.  

 

I'm beyond frustrated at this point.  Does anyone know what steps to take now? 

You should be able to login via Facebook on Sonos so no need for a device password as long as your Sonos software is up to date (or so I thought?).
