Spotify in app links when posted to Linktree don't display thumbnail images. The work around is to copy the URL from the top bar of the browser instead of using the share link button. But this means songs inside an album cannot be shared. It leaves an empty thumbnail and that looks bad on Linktree.

This is a branding and presentation issue caused by the missing thumbnails. A bug caused by a recent update I assume, because the share link button always worked and has always displayed thumbnails on Linktree.

As I can recall everything was still working fine on November 10th.

I've never used Linktree myself but I suppose you've gone through these instructions? 🙂

We don't seem to have other users reporting such errors, so I'm curious if this is something on your end..
Could you check if the same error would appear in a different browser or an incognito browser window?
I'd also try a different device and/ or network if possible (a hotspot would do if you're using a laptop).

Note: In case it turns out that the issue is isolated only to your default browser, try removing its cache & cookies.

If the above steps didn't help, we'd recommend reporting the issue to Linktree, as they're the ones that can take a closer at this and offer some further troubleshooting.
