Spotify randomly stops and starts

This happens on my PC at home as well as iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet.

I *think* it has something to do with being on multiple machines.

It's driving me nuts. I turn on my playlist , jump in the shower, 10 seconds in the song stops and I have to hit play.

Sometimes after it stops - and I've moved on with life - suddenly it just starts playing again. Or plays again on another device.

Google turned up a bunch of useless solutions about reinstallation which doesn't apply when this is happening across all different devices

Any ideas?
