Stop logging me out of the app while in airplane mode!

Issue with losing access to Spotify in airplane mode. I fly regularly. I have had this issue twice now. Using Spotify via the iPhone app. I put my phone in airplane mode, my WiFi is on and connected to the aircraft network for texting but NOT with full internet access. I go to click on my user icon in the top left, then go to settings & privacy to put Spotify into ‘offline mode’ so it has less trouble pulling albums up (with wifi connected but no internet access, it usually sits and spins and tries to reload the content, so forcing offline mode on the app prevents this.) However, I accidentally double click on my user icon, which then attempts to ‘view profile’. As soon as I do this, I am toast. Spotify tries to pull up my account (since I’m connected to WiFi) but can’t (because I have no internet access), so it just sits there. Forcing the app to restart clears the screen but now invites me to log in again which I cannot do (“sorry, check your internet connection”). Now I can’t use Spotify until I land and get cell signal again.

Please fix this. Unless I click ‘logout’, keep me logged in!

This happened to me a couple of times, but I really hope they fix this issue.

Would you mind sending over the make, model, OS version and the Spotify version running on the affected device? 

 

Also, can you confirm when exactly was the last time you experienced this behavior?

At the moment, we'd recommend keeping your Spotify app updated, so you don't miss any improvements that may come your way. 

 

If you happen to have the opportunity to replicate it in the future, we'd recommend recording the screen and attaching the video to your response to take a better look. You can do it by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to watch it).

 

If anything else comes up, the Community will be a post away.
