TikTok Ads cause Spotify to close current playlist and open Ad music when opening the Spotify App

When scrolling on TikTok some spotify ads will cause the Spotify app to open the music the next time the Spotify app is opened. It is annoying as it cause me to lose my current place in my playlist and listen to the ad's music. It seems like an exploit of a feature in the app, is it possible to disable the feature causes this behavior?

Thanks for posting this thread in the forum and for including a link to the Reddit thread.

Does this behavior persist on another device with your Spotify account and did you notice if it started happening after something specific (update of an app for example)?

So far we've not come across a similar report here, but it's worth testing with some steps in case any of them make a difference for you. Let us know if these suggestions change anything:

• Unlink Spotify from the TikTok app: Profile > Settings and privacy > Music > Add to music app > select Spotify and unlink.
• From the Account Page, check and unlink your Spotify from any third-party creators.

After that, you can relink Spotify again.
