Why is my repeat button always automatically on?

Anytime I click on an album, single, EP, a song, or any of my previously listened to tracks, the repeat button is always automatically on. I have autoplay similar content on, but whenever the song is done, it just repeats! Why is this happening? Why is this feature the default?

I checked this in my app and the repeat one toggle goes back to repeat all every time I change the now playing content. Could you check if this happening only on one platform or all of them? You can test on the desktop app, web player, and the mobile app.

Hello, this doesn't happen on my desktop app. It only happens on my mobile app.

Thanks for the reply @frozencreeks12. In that case, check out the following steps:

1. Check if the issue persists if you turn on offline mode from the app settings.
2. Clear the app cache using this guide. Restart the app and see if that helps.
3. Perform a clean-install of the Spotify app.
