albums pausing between songs

albums pausing between songs

there are many ambient and thematic albums on Spotify with a continuous 60-90 minutes of music that are broken into chapters (songs) but are meant to play straight through. Spotify pauses momentarily between the songs, where the track breaks are, which really ruins the flow and the mood. is there a way to remedy this? thanks.

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

I think you're talking about Gapless playback, right? You can find this toggle in the settings of the app.

Let us know if this brought any change,

Cheers!

i do have lossless playback on - not sure how else to try to fix this "problem."

Hey @blessedtoes ,

Thanks for the reply.

Do you mean you've turned the Gapless playback on and the playback behaves as desired, or you have turned it on and it doesn't work? The more info we have, the better our solution will be.

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

hi-

yes, it turned out i already had this turned on, and with many long, ambient albums i still get momentary pauses where the chapter breaks are. i listen in the firefox browser on a mac. thanks.

Hi there @blessedtoes

Thanks for the info. Does the issue happen on any other devices? If you haven't tested this, please do so and let us know. Also, if you could make a video with sound that showcases the behaviour, that would help us a lot.

Keep us posted.
