how to turn subtitles off

I can’t figure out how to turn subtitles off. I’m on a MacBook pro and it automatically turned subtitles on. My iphone doesn’t screw me over like this. I’ve searched the web and spotify support and have only found people complaining of the opposite. I hate watching podcasts on my phone and can’t pay attention to the podcast if the subtitles are on because the movement just draws my line of sight to it and I just end up reading the damned words. I can’t pay attention to anything that is actually happening on camera.

To turn off subtitles or lyrics on Spotify:

1. Open Spotify: Launch the Spotify app on your device (mobile or desktop).

2. Play a Song: Start playing a song that has lyrics enabled.

3. Access the Lyrics: Scroll down on the "Now Playing" screen to where the lyrics are displayed.

4. Turn Off Lyrics: If lyrics are shown, you can hide them by simply swiping them down or tapping the "Lyrics" section again (the exact action may vary depending on your device).

Unfortunately, there isn't a global setting to permanently disable lyrics, so you'll need to do this each time you see them.

Hey, I got it. Log out of your app, close the app, then delete the apps' cache and cookies. Once you've done that, and done a fresh login, you should have the issue solved.

You can find the option on Android phones by long pressing on the app on your drawer/home page, then tapping App Info and going to Storage and Cache
