listen along starts 12 to 23 seconds into the song ahead of who im listening along with

I'm on discord using the listen along feature and every song that comes on It starts anywhere 12-23 seconds into the song while all my other friends including the host start at the beginning of the song, we are all on discord so and none of my friends have this problem.

Hey @Logic9924,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community! We've moved your post to a relevant Help Board where it fits better.

We understand you have issues with the Listen Along feature. Let's try help you resolve this with few troubleshooting suggestions.

First off, make sure that while you are enjoying the Listen Along feature, your own Spotify playback setting about using Crossfade between songs is disabled,  as this might halt the playback for you while the songs change. Let us know if this makes any difference?

Then if the above does not fix the situation, we can suggest to check if the device's system time is not in sync with the real-time, as this might also be a reason for an audio delay issue. To fix that, make sure that your device syncs the system time correctly for all listeners and the source user.

Hope this does the trick for you, reach out if you need more help!

the crossfade feature was the first thing I tried and that wasn't the problem, my PC sets the time automatically, so I'm not sure how that could be the problem.

Hi @Logic9924,

Thank you for keeping in touch.

If the settings you checked are correct, then we suggest you continue by unlinking your Discord and Spotify accounts, reinstall both apps and then link the accounts again. Does it make a difference?

If the issue persists, it's also worth checking if this happens on other devices.

Keep us posted.

I have the exact same problem and I tried fixing it with all these suggestions before. It has never worked.

Hey @Unlimitedparis0,

Thank you for your reply in this thread.

In this case, we'd like to gather as much info as possible. Would you mind letting us know what troubleshooting you've tried so far? This'll help us avoid repeating steps. It's also a good idea to let us know if the issue started after a recent update?

Any additional details (such as device's make, model and OS) will be very helpful to our investigation as well. Sending us some screenshots or a quick video of how the issue looks like would come in handy.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

I am having the same issue, it has not bothered me much, but it would be good to know where the issue lies and what can be done about it. I have tried everything said up until now and nothing changed.
