why is spotify linking my old account to discord?

I made a new spotify account and i unlinked my old one from my discord. Then as i tried adding the new one, it just automatically said my account was linked and it showed my old one. I tried multiple times and it keeps adding my old spotify account. i’m signed in on google and the app.

I would recommend the following steps to connect your new account to Discord:

• Log into your old Spotify account first and open manage apps section.
• Remove Discord from there and log out.
• Make sure in Discord the Spotify integration is disabled or removed.
• Now log into your new Spotify account and then try to reconnect.

In this way, first, your old account will be removed from Discord and then the new one will be connected. Let me know how this goes.

I forgot my password and userto my old account so how do I login now to manage apps?

As long as you are able to access the email that is associated with that account you can request a password reset link to be sent to you. Follow the steps to reset your password and afterwards you will be able to access the account. Check out our article on how to reset your password.

In order to disconnect Discord from Spotify, you'll need to use the Discord app and follow the steps in this article. Just to confirm, is this the process you're following?
