I cannot filter kids accounts for explicit content per the FAQ instructions

Solved!

I cannot filter kids accounts for explicit content per the FAQ instructions

I followed the link to the "Family hub" at https://www.spotify.com/us/account/family/ The next instruction says to click on the profile to select filter content, but the only option under the profiles is to remove from plan.

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out.

You can block any content with an explicit tag for other members of the plan by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Premium Family page.
  2. Click on the member you’d like to allow or block content for.
  3. Switch Remove explicit content on or off

Keep in mind that it works a bit differently for Spotify Kids accounts:

  1. Download Spotify Kids from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
  2. The Premium Family plan manager logs in with the same email address and password used for the Spotify app and creates a Kids account.
  3. They are then prompted to create a Kids account.

Explicit content will be blocked by default in the Kids app. This can only be bypassed when playlists are manually shared. To do so:

  1. Tap the avatar in the top-left.
  2. Tap Grown ups and enter your PIN.
  3. Tap Shared Playlists.
  4. Pick the playlist you'd like to share.
Tip: Preview it to make sure it's suitable. Songs with explicit lyrics are marked E.
  5. Tap Share.

Note: All this info and more can also be found here.

I hope this helps 🙂
