Hey there,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

Since downloads are stored as cache on your phone, this type of issue is commonly related to some corrupted cache files stored on your device from previous downloads. In this case, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We'll be on the lookout.

Go onto to your Spotify, into liked songs and near the top just under where it says “liked songs” there is a little button like a down arrow. Press that and it will download all your songs on that list. They it will work! I had an issue with this for ages and just come onto here and nothing actually helped so I played around with it and found it!
