Two family members playing different songs in same house at same time

I will try to keep this as simple as possible.

I want to achieve using premium family;

1) Adult plays a song in one room in the house using an Alexa echo device

2) Child plays ANOTHER song at the same time in the same house on another Alexa echo device.

Is this possible?  Yes or no.  The child in this scenario are under 12 years of age so unable to have their own Spotify accounts.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community!

To be honest, the short answer to your very well posed question for now would still be no. The current impossibility arises because of the nature of how your Amazon account communicates with the Spotify one. It's a bit like a bottleneck situation here. Regardless of how many Alexa devices you have connected in your household, one Amazon account (your household account) communicates with only one Spotify account to be selected for music streaming (in your case probably that's your Family owner's account). In this sense, your Spotify account can channel only one stream at a time toward any of your Alexa devices, regardless of the fact that there are also multiple sub-accounts in your Spotify for Family as well. Hope this helps clarify things a bit.

Horrible this is not solved yet. Our kids use the Spotify app on their laptops/tablets and connect to their Echo device as Bluetooth speakers. Bonus is they aren't yelling at Alexa to play the right song!
