Upgrade from single plan to family plan

I just paid for the family plan, but it didn't say that I "upgraded", it made it sound like I'm a new customer. So, I'm wondering, hopefully Spotify cancelled my regular membership and started my family membership. I guess I'll find out when my next bill hits my account.

It did the same for me,

 

You can check your account to see if it is a familly account,

and on the right hand side in Account Overview,

it should say what your next charge is and when.

 

Note that there is no difference in Spotify whenever an account is Premuim or Family,

it will only ever show on your account page.
