Why can't family members use Spotify at the same time?

Why can't family members use Spotify at the same time?

When two family members on the family plan are using the Spotify app at the same time, one will get kicked off.

Hey there,

 

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please launch the Spotify app on both devices, then head into the app's Settings > Account. Does it show the same username and email address there or is it different? 🙂 All members of a Premium Family plan are supposed to use their own account.
