You're unable to join this Family plan

Hello All,

 

I have been using Spotify Premium Family Plan. After about one month of usage all of us from the family got disconnected from Premium. So the account owner resent invitations. Everyone could connect again with the new invitation, however, I get message after entering address details:

You're unable to join this Family plan.

I have been resent invitation few times now but still the same. Any suggestion what could be wrong? There are 3 members on our Family plan and we all entering the same address.

Hey @Mindaugass, welcome to the community!

 

Right now, all members of the Premium for Family plan must live in the same physical address, as stated on the T&Cs.

 

If Spotify can't verify that you live in the same address, you can't join the plan. However, you can still get Premium.

I have a similar problem yet I DO have the same adderess as the rest of my family. What is the matter then??

Yes, Alfredo, I am Harianto , with account username <moderator edit - snip>. I am a Spotify Family user. I have been using this Family plan for 1 month. I have the same issue with @Mindaugass, all family member got downgrade become free account at the second month, yet we have done the same with @nikola2306, we all have sign up with the same address. May we know how the way Spotify verify our physically address is the same or not? Is it by GPS from our mobile phone? How if they open the Spotify at their office? Will it detected as a differrent address they live?

Your help on us will be so much appreciated and we are waiting for a solution for this.

Sorry to hear you're having the same issue.

 

Right now, I don't have the information on how Spotify verifies this information. However, in case the information doesn't match, the users and owner of the plan should receive an email asking to enter the correct information.

 

Since you're living in the same physical address, but the family members can't join the plan, you'll need to contact the Support team via Twitter or Facebook.

 

They'll be able to take a closer look at the accounts to further assist you.
