I can't switch my plan to the student plan after being accepted?

I am currently on a family plan and i wanted to switch to the student one. I just received the email that my proof of student enrolment has been accepted however when i try to switch the plan from the link it says that i am not eligible?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

If you're the owner of a Premium Family plan, you need to cancel your subscription first and wait for the account to revert to Free before signing up for Premium Student.

If they’re a member, however, you can leave by canceling your subscription, through your Spotify Account page and then signing up to Premium Student at https://spotify.com/student.
