Hey! I have been a spotify user since long ago... maybe 2019? But ever since, spotify was more than an app... it helped listen to music, curate playlists and share it... it recommends great songs too... but lately, i have seen and am seeing small updates and changes that are making the free plan-unusable.
So, beginning with, "explore premium to play a selected song from a playlist". Well, okay, i need premium for that. Accepted. It was basically the way to add 'smart shuffle' and make it used more, or people would have opened and changed tracks. So, accepted. But now, 6 skips per hour?? Dude why... but thats okay too, i dont skip much withing my recommendations and playlists. So that too accepted. BUT, now i have seen a feature which shows "Explore premium to play the song you want. You can play your selected song tomorrow." WHAT?? DUDE I LITERALLY SEARCHED FOR IT?? THEN TOO??? Well guys, the support team, please answer me... do you wanna make us free users leave your platform? We have other free apps available you know right? Although not as good as Spotify, i agree, but sure they work well... Honestly answer me. Do you want us to switch apps?
Okay. What if you make spotify an all premium app? Well free has no "free" features anymore; 6 skips, cant play selected track from playlist, and now YOU CANT PLAY ANY TRACK YOU WANT??? Even if this is counted per hour, why cant i? That was the only feature keeping me from going. If this is not changed, either change spotify to an all premium app, or remove this particular feature.
Moreover, YOU GUYS SAY THAT "You will get 30 minutes of uninterrupted music"... Okay is this true? CAUSE **bleep** ITS NOT! I get ads after every 3-5 songs, even when it says "uninterrupted 30 mins"... i also accepted that, i know everyone wants to earn a living and thats why... but why strip us free users off all features? Like literally? No skips, cant play from playlist, cant play track, no uninterrupted listening, 5x ads and what not? I have my own problems or i would have bought premium... i am too a student but for some reasons i can buy any premium plan, so i hoped this would work...
Also you know, on the online world, there are many workarounds, including one which is "pirated/cracked spotify". Now i can sure use this, and i AM GOING TO if such features dont get removed. That would have all premium features for free, you know it right? I am not blackmailing, im just saying what i feel now. One person leaving spotify wont change anything cause there are millions of listeners worldwide... but i know this that most of these are free listeners, am i right? And if all of them leave spotify, would it not cause a change?
