Great question, @Billy-J!

I think there are lots of great tracks that help resolve stress for me, so itโ€™s hard to choose one. However, one track that Iโ€™ve been listening to relatively often lately is โ€œChatoyant Breathโ€ by ร˜resund Space Collective; I think the trackโ€™s evolving instrumental psychedelic/space rock improvisations are conducive to a nicely relaxed state of mind:

For myself, ironically perhaps, due to its chaotic and dark nature, "The Torture Never Stops" by Frank Zappa allows me to lose myself into the moment, it's slow pace relaxes me and following the lyrics, singing along is like a reset button for me. I think it's one of my alltime favorites and it shows, it has been on my Top songs of the year since 2018.

This is a fantastic question @Billy-J

I personally tend to stress a lot, and it usually starts by my brain overworking (making so many "what if" scenarios that are not needed ๐Ÿ™ˆ).

I've found that sometimes playing this track when I notice it happening helps my brain focus on the music and slow down:

Doesn't always work, but it can help a lot when it happens.

If I can't settle, a good alternative is ...

What's your to-go track to resolve stress Billy?

Well, this is where I go. It is an album but there is no change in lyrics, it is always the same:

Great tracks everyone! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this question ๐Ÿ™‚

@Katerina - I am in love with these two tracks currently when it comes to calming me down and just removing stress:

That really depends on what kind of stress we're talking about.

I vividly remember that feeling of heavy relief when I was rocking out to Broken Note after a really stressful weekend of no sleep and no real privacy. I was woken up at 2AM by the loudest scream of pain I've ever heard a child emit and I was concerned they had fallen and broken their arm.
No
The room was too warm.

So the heavy shattering beats and aggressive filthy sound of Broken Note took all that intense stress and hurled it off the cliff onto hard concrete. Long and oh so cathartic songs. Also please don't mind the track titles, they're just track titles and I don't actually hate the people who visited us that weekend ๐Ÿ˜‚

When I'm distressed and sad, I find comfort from any of the following:

spotify:track:3zKnBotKbst0AMAj4pgVaa:small (Amon's voice has healing properties, let me tell you that)

spotify:track:3OSBHgBCHGgkUCiu2mMQlK:small

spotify:track:7dIq9c2T3JHZUZkUPaAfad:small

spotify:track:0QC6DmfKiXEIbJxf4hu21Y:small (something about that sound that just gets me)

among others.

I generally don't seek to dwell in the sorrows too long because it.. translates into physical ailments really quick otherwise. : )
