Happy Friday fellow members of the community 🍾
Now, one of my favourite things to do is to discover new good tracks and good artists.
Since the beginning of January I've discovered a lot, partly due to the community and playlist radios 🎼🖤. I discovered so many, I created a playlist just for them.
I'll assume you've also discovered some, even if not many.
From those, who's your favourite ?
It'd also be cool to include either the track that led you to them or one you've become obsessed with.
Have a great weekend 🎧🖤
Great question, @Taylith!
It’s tough to choose my favorite artist that I’ve discovered so far this year, as I’ve found several bands during this time that have been new to my ears and whose music I really appreciate.
If I have to choose one artist, though, it might be Heavy Trip. They’re an instrumental psychedelic rock band from Canada, and I found them on Spotify in early February. Since then, I’ve very much been enjoying listening to a couple of their songs; and here’s perhaps my current favorite one, “Mind Leaf”:

Cheers!
Nice question! The artist I found recently is Remi Wolf.

She was one of the artists my friend wanted to see at a festival we were going to go to and he recommended that I give her a listen. Her music is so fun and high energy, and her live performance matches that super well - she was basically sprinting up and down the stage, getting the crowd super hyped up all the while belting some amazing vocals.
Her visuals are also quite chaotic and ridiculous which is such a nice contrast to the highly curated aesthetic most artists are going for usually. Check her out if you like cheeky lyrics sung to a major tune 😄
Thank you for sharing @Elena 💚
I find that I mostly listen to chill, laidback tracks which just give me some relaxation.
But I will occasionally step into upbeat music like when I'm doing some chores around the house or working myself up for a task.
So I will listen to her soon enough. Cheers 🏂
Hey there @AdamDamon 💚
"Psychedelic rock band" sounds like what I've been listening to for most of the past 2 or so months, I don't know what brought it on.
What I do know is that I'm having a good time, I'll listen to that track soon and thanks for sharing with us 🖤🎼
Hello @geovanebento 💛
Real nice of you to put us onto her.
I'll give her a listen.
I have a certain liking to romantic songs myself so we'll see
Take care
Those I can think of right now are from Yuku, and they're Chewlie, Leese and Sam Link. They all scratch a different itch for me lol. I can't even say which of the three I would say I love the most, because it mostly boils down to whether I want rhythmic bangers (Leese and Sam) or want to float off into textured atmospheres (Chewlie).
So, um.. I'm just going to offer my favourite song from each three. : )

I've already said this but once again, thanks to everyone for replying 💖
Thank you to you too @Sebasty 💛
That's quite a collection @RobotWarrior , means you've had a rather colourful year 🎶
As I said before, I'm pleased with the amount of new artists I've been introduced to this year and they are now regulars.
There is one in particular, however, whose music just leaves me levitating.
The track that introduced me to him was from the Album titled Dopamine(spoiler alert, it couldn't have been named better)
There's another of his tracks I've come to absolutely love since then 💚
Wasn't very easy picking btw
It is Past Lives
I've created a playlist to save all of these tracks and those from the previous QOTW I posted.(Haven't added anything yet but won't be too long)
💓🎧
This one is easy... CHAI is my favorite this year. I came across the track "PING PONG!" after seeing that YMCK (who I have been following for about 15 years now) did this collab with them. YMCK creates the infectious ADSR blips and bleeps, and the girls from CHAI provide the wonderfully hypnotic vocals.
I have to make a special mention for Love Hustler as well, they bring the midwest electrofunk so hard, it will require a doctor to cure you of the permanent dancing condition that their music induces.
Love Hustler - OMW(2U)
The newest (and best) artist I've discovered this year so far is a Hawaiian rapper/hip hop artist: NOWA. He only has two songs and two features so far, but his voice is talented, and you're sure to hear more of it in the future!
Past Tense is my favorite by him!
Feel Some Luv -one of his features- is also amazing!
