Recent interface changes suck, why, I want to go back.

Recent interface changes suck, why, I want to go back.

I hate the recent changes, you did this in 2022 then to a large degree you changed it back.

Terrible, what **bleep** thought this was a good idea. How do I get my old look back? Here’s a novel idea. How about letting me customize my interface, or asking what I like, or letting me choose not to change before shoving it down my throat.

Home is now useless to me I could care less about podcasts, audiobooks, I hate new music 99% sucks.

The new UI hurts to use. The accessibility, recommendations, and overall functionality is a complete downgrade.

So I have to switch to music, yea all the pod cast and audiobooks are gone but now it’s just full screen tiles, my thumb hurts from scrolling.

On the previous UI, I could easily check out my Daily Mixes, On Repeat, suggestions, Recommendations, Blends, Time Capsules, and a lot of other cool things. Now it’s either gone or extremely inconvenient or hard to find.

I liked the slide right trays, like recently played for instance, trouble was they only showed a few like 6 back, why a limit at all, should be longer.

How about a fave artist I play and a slide right of what I haven’t heard.

The new big ugly full screen tiles just don't make sense to me. A good bit of the tiles seem to be completely random and have no interest to me at all.

In 2022 I think I remember hearing that this was some part of some A/B testing going on

If that's the case again I hope things go back to usable, stop getting in my way, let me decide how to find it.

I agree that not having a choice but to use a new UX change is frustrating for a number of reasons. I’d like to be able to stick with a version I liked better.

The reality is that Spotify needs to accommodate dozens of continuously changing operating systems on long list of devices, while simultaneously pursuing their own business initiatives through UX changes (whether users like them or not) such as pumping visibility of podcasts, using shuffle, etc.

The testing processes they execute in a live environment is something I’ve never experienced, but as a website developer that’s astonishing that they’d do that intentionally- seems absurd and reckless.

All of this is to say I certainly see your point, all variables withstanding.

In my opinion, Spotify has the best content, whether it be music or podcasts, both in quality (minus sound quality) and quantity. At the end of the day, that is why I pay for the service.

I am interested to see how it will play out.
