Hey, usually when I want to get the lyrics on Spotify I can just get it really easy. But today I noticed that the lyrics are now premium. Was it always like that? Also, why did they do that? That was really handy for me.

Not really. It wasn't that long ago that Spotify lyrics became available only to people with the premium plan. If I'm not mistaken, lyrics became limited in September last year.
