remove sponsored recommendation

It makes no sense for me to pay for the Premium version of the platform and still receive ads and content that are not aligned with my interests.

My preferred musical genres are rock/rap/classical, and the platform frequently recommends songs that are out of context, from unrelated genres, or by unknown artists under the following excuse: “These recommendations are sponsored but match your musical taste.” In addition, it does not even offer a “dislike” option. This is advertising to someone who paid specifically not to have advertising. Furthermore, the service has declined in quality. Spotify used to be praised for its algorithm that truly matched music to the user’s taste. Now you “tilt the balance” to push sponsored songs. As a user, I am disappointed.

When I tried to contact support, there was an attempt to justify the algorithm with arguments such as “there is a song like that in one of your playlists” or “you’ve listened to that genre before.” These are weak and unviable arguments, especially considering the platform has removed the “dislike” option.

I request that the platform return to offering a service that prioritizes user satisfaction rather than “musical pamphleteering".
