why did you choose to use Spotify?

There are a lot of other music apps that you could use to listen to music so why did you choose to use Spotify and not some other music app? What Feature etc. let you choose Spotify?

Spotify was my first music streaming service. I've been using it since 2015, so I have so many songs and playlists there that reflect different moments of my life. I just can't leave it. I love the UI, love Spotify Connect, love how the app is butter smooth (so much better than Apple Music on my MacBook Pro, BTW).

Just hopping we get lossless soon and that'll be the end for my audiophile service (Qobuz + Roon).

Edit from PenguinEric75 I did know Apple Music but to use Apple Music you had to get a subscription

I've been trying to get my daughter to join, with me, especially when you folks send me a good deal having another person added to my account. Spotify always surprises me with new "Daily Mix" that I just love, inserting pieces I didn't to listen or chose not to but then I have a chance to enjoy it. I am an eclectic music lover and Spotify totally satisfy me.

Do you use a phone or a laptop? I have been using Spotify for several years now and still find editing playlists and likes difficult, only today I discovered there are things that can be done on a laptop that can't be done on a phone, removing a self created playlist for example.

Mostly I use my phone, especially when I'm out shopping or walking. I just bought a new Chromebook and that's when I saw that this group was available. I found out that I started Spotify in 2014, so I've been going for 10yrs now. This is the First time that I'm actually seeing a response to my posts? I have 567 Liked songs in just that one playlist. I've been told in the past that I'm out of the norm with what music I download? My tastes run from Asia to Yanni. I was brought up on symphony and country and western music. However my real love is New Age Electronic music. It started with the Moog machine that was introduced in a movie that started Muriel Hemingway. That was all I needed to hear. As far as Yanni he combines both classical and symphonic music together. Daft Punk is also a favorite. I want to thank you for all your help and support. And I'm waiting when you folks develop an app for Chromebook?

I remember the Moog machine and also love electronic music. One of my favourite pieces was Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harem but I much prefer the Lucy Thomas version, have a listen and let me know what you think. Song

Procol Harem, I know them well. How about Conquistador? Daft Punk "The Grid" from the movie Tron:Legacy has some really great electronics. I'm very surprised that you actually knew of the Moog machine? Have you ever tried Yanni? He mixes Classical with New Wave, believe me that he makes it work. "The Dream Concert" "For All Seasons" mixes most of all instruments. Elton John also uses electronic instruments. ELO was a band that had an light show Second to none. They're so many bands that do crossovers in all their music. Id have to look at some of my playlists to tell you about so many more. I've been trying to figure out how to post some of my favorite songs for everyone to hear? I don't know where you're located or even if you celebrate holidays? But I want to wish you Happy Holidays 😊
