Picture on Profile

I would like to suugest the option of adding our own pictures or avitars WITHOUT linking it to our Facebook accounts.

I know there are some of us that were fortunate enough to get Spotify before it linked with Facebook and I would love to add my picture on the account page.

I totally agree. I like Spotify as a standalone programme, not linked to my faecbook, and would much prefer a picture of my ugly mug over some grey sillhouette. Surely this would take the Spotify tech geniuses about 5 minutes to implement?

Oh my god, this idea explains my one and only problem on Spotify. I have a silhouette of a MAN as my default. I'm not even male! This idea really needs to be turned into a PLAN, which can then be fulfilled. WE. NEED. THIS. TO. HAPPEN.

Please, Spotify, let us upload pictures for the profile without connecting to Facebook. I would connect, but my Facebook account got hacked, so I no longer have the account. I don't want to get a new account because I don't want to get sucked back into Facebook's stupidity (no offense to Facebook). I really need to upload a picture, though, because my friend didn't know if my Spotify account was actually mine. Also, I just hate seeing some default man as my profile picture.

I really hope someone reads my comment, and thanks for posting this idea. 🙂

Another non facebook user who would love to have a profile pic. It is part of what defines us! Very strange that Spotify is resistant. 😞

Love Spotify enough to happily have premium! I hate Facebook and the fact that the only option for my pic of choice to be linked is through fb. Please take two hours of your week to write code and make us all happy! 🙂

Well, I don't want my facebook avatar in my spotfy. Luckly, I registred my account with my email, so I have the grey man.

I think that option would be very appreciated. Not to all users like to connect their account to each others!

It's crazy that spotify is linked to Facebook even for the picture. PLEASE.... IMPROVE THIS!!!

I just wasted more time of my day trying to figure out how to change my profile pic, only to land here, than it would have taken one of your dev‘s to write the literally three or four lines of code needed to fetch an image from gravatar based on a user’s email. For example, in Ruby you would do it like this. I'm not sure what language Spotify is implemented in, but using gravatar would be an extremely simple way to make this possible, something users have been wanting for well over a year.
