403 Error from /v1/audio-features on All Requests

403 Error from /v1/audio-features on All Requests

I'm building a Spotify app using the Web API. I can authenticate, access my profile, and fetch playlists successfully. However, all requests to /v1/audio-features return a 403 Forbidden — even for valid, known track IDs (e.g., Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”).

I've tried:
- Creating a new app
- Setting correct redirect URIs
- Expanding scopes
- Using multiple different tokens (including freshly authorized ones)

Other endpoints work fine. This seems to be a backend permission issue with how tokens are being issued.

Please escalate or advise.

Hi @wgaul

Thanks for reaching out! Just a heads-up — the documentation page for the Audio Features endpoint now notes that it's deprecated. Only apps that had a quota extension approved before November 27, 2024 will still be able to access it.

You can find more details and updates on this changes page, which outlines everything you need to know.

Hope this clears things up, but feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
