Am I really not allowed to make a discord bot?

I finally completed my discord bot after a lot of work and tried to request an extension so people could use it, but it got refused and this was the reason:

However, building an integration with Discord is not permitted according to our terms and conditions

I read through this & the developer policy but couldn't find anything relating to discord, also why would this not be allowed anyways? I'm not profiting off it and it would just promote spotify to more people. Is there anything I can do?
