Cannot get song which is only in the newest release of an album

My Question or Issue

I was working with the API and trying to get all of the songs on a playlist when I noticed that the number of songs I got was off by 1. The missing song was called Sometimes by alex_g_offline which is only on the newest release of the album '1234'. The original release of the album doesn't have the song. In further testing, I couldn't get the song through the album or any playlists (in fact the album would show that it only had 3 songs in it). However, I could get the song through the artist's popular tracks. Is this known and is there a way to fix it?
