Commercial Playback API Usage for Spotify Premium Surgeons

Hi,

We’re a surgical planning software (commercial) and our users are surgeons.

Some of  our users are Spotify premium subscribers and often listen to classical music or other playlists via Spotify when planning their surgeries in their offices, or even in the operating room.

These users have asked us to look into integrating with Spotify to allow them to control their music playback via our software.

In the operating room, surgeons will usually have our software open only to prevent distractions. Furthermore, hospitals typically do NOT allow downloading third-party apps like Spotify onto computers or iPads provided to staff in operating rooms either. 

We would like to use the playback API to allow surgeons to see their current song in our software and enable basic playback controls like skip, go back, or pause and play various playlists too. We'd also like to allow them to specify playlists that they favorite and can then have these start playing automatically via Spotify when they are in the operating room and do not have access to their personal phones any more.

What process does Spotify have to allow commercial apps to utilize the playback API? Could someone get in touch with us?
