Connecting Spotify to a social media

Greetings, we are a young team of developers who are developing a social network. We would like to implement in our social network the functionality of integrating a user page with a spotify account and to display information about the music being listened to at the moment (as it is presented for example in discord). We have a question:
Is it possible to integrate this feature freely, if so, do we have to get permission from your company? If adding this feature is free, but we need to apply for a use permit, how do we do it?
