Currently playing episode

Hey there,

This post is requesting access to "currently playing episode" through the Spotify Web API, either through the "Get Playback State" endpoint (/me/player) or the "Get Currently Playing Track" endpoint (ideally both). It seems that podcasts are largely not supported in player state/history, so this post is just throwing another hat into the ring.

Any updates on the matter are appreciated!

It is possible to get the currently playing episode. It's been possible.

GET https://api.spotify.com/v1/me/player?additional_types=episode
