Delay in Spotify API Data Availability for New Releases

Delay in Spotify API Data Availability for New Releases

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with the Spotify API and would appreciate any insights or solutions.

I have a cron job set up to search for new song releases precisely at midnight.

However, I’ve noticed that while new releases become visible on Spotify's website exactly at midnight, the corresponding data does not appear in the API until approximately 5 - 30 minutes later.

This delay is causing issues as the cron job is not capturing the new releases in real-time.

Here are some specifics:

Cron Job Execution Time: Set to run exactly at midnight.
Issue: New releases visible on Spotify’s website are not available in the API response until around 5 minutes later.
Objective: Ensure that the cron job captures all new releases as soon as they are available on Spotify.

Could anyone provide insights into why this delay might occur?

Is this a known behavior of Spotify’s API, or is there a typical delay for new data to appear in the API? Are there any best practices or workarounds to address this?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
