Does Web Playback SDK or spotify connect have a timeout feature?

My Question or Issue

I've implemented my own player using the Web Playback SDK, this together with propepr authentication that is refreshed using the refresh token and to test it I wanted to leave my implementation running for a few hours.

I started a playlist on shuffle and left my PC. When I came back to my spotify client it was paused and spotify connect was no longer set to my Web Playback device.

So I wonder if there is some sort of timeout for Spotify Connect because my player was still running and I could still just swap to it within the spotify client and continue playing music.

Also is there a better way of testing this than to wait several hours for tokens to expire?
