Embedding podcast episode in wordpress using block editor

I've been trying to embed podcast episodes into wordpress articles using the Spotify block editor, but it isn't working and I keep receiving an error message trying it multiple different ways. I've also tried embedding using the HTML, and this works in the preview but not after publishing the article. What's strange is I tried using the block editor to embed a song and this works with no problems, which makes me think it's an API issue for podcast episodes. Can anyone help?

The oembed API used by wordpress to render the player returns a 401 error

I can confirm that the spotify oembed API for any episode is still returning a 401 error. It works fine for tracks.
