How do i link to a specific song, without playing it when it opens?

As the title suggests, i'm having issues when linking to a specific song from a mobile app. When opening either the URI (spotify:track:XXXXX) or URL (http://open.spotify.com/track/XXXXX) the song starts playing which is very annoying and disturbing. How do i avoid this behaviour?
