Is it possible to retrieve user data for 'liked songs'/streamed songs?

My Question or Issue

This is for a course in uni but we are currently attempting to create an application where users can sign in with their Spotify ID and we can use their data of 'liked songs'/streaming data to create a database of the most listened to songs of the users. It would essentially be creating the 'Top Songs of the Country' but specifically for users using the app. We are creating this for Spotify users of our school to be able to see what the most popular songs of students from our school.
