I was looking for an MP3 player that could connect to Spotify and play these songs offline without the need for a smartphone.
I found the Mighty Vibe where the user can connect to Spotify via an app and then sync their playlist to the small MP3 player so that the MP3 player stores all tracks locally.
Since Spotify doesn't support downloading complete tracks or playlists (except for offline mode for Spotify's own apps), I wonder how they implemented their offline functionality. I assume they just collect the names of the songs and then download the actual tracks from another source.
Am I right in my assumption or is there another way to store Spotify songs on an external device?
