Play Spotify songs from 3rd party app

Hello, I'm developing an app that allows the user to play songs from Spotify and share the queue with other users. The problem is that usign Spotify app remote sdk on iOS i'm not able to keep the app running on the background, the only solution is to include a builtin player, the question is: is it possible to play Spotify songs inside my app? Just like musixmatch does (premium users only)
