Question about artist genre classification

Hi everyone! I'm new here, don't know much about development so it might be a silly question. Is there any information about how it works the artist genre classification? I'm trying to understand how it works and specially if there's a way to manually select it or maybe just influence the algorithm to a certain direction on whats the artist genre.
