Reorder an entire playlist with one call rather than per song

Reorder an entire playlist with one call rather than per song

Will there ever be an API call that will let a developer send an array of song ids that could be used to order the users playlist?

So right now, the only way to reorder a playlist is to take song in one position and include the new position but when a playlist has 1000s of songs, this can take a long time to update all the song positions. https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/#/operations/reorder-or-replace-playli...

Would be great if there could be an API access point where the new order is sent to the API and it's all done in 1 call.

Reason I'm not using the replace option of the above link is because I want to keep the date of when the song was originally added. I don't want to lose that information.

Thanks.

I would also like to see this added. Also, I'd like to point out, in addition to the replace option not being appropriate for OP because it loses information, the replace option also only takes a maximum of 100 uris at once. So, because it clears the playlist every time, the replace operation is virtually useless for large playlists because it could only be used for accomplishing a reordering of at most 100 tracks.

I came here for the same reason as OP but though **bleep** it we ballin and just replaced it all. Turns out the date when songs were added stays!
