Sheet Music along with Lyrics

Hello. Question and maybe an idea for you guys. I’ve recently downloaded Spotify. I’m slow I know! However I love how you have the lyrics in your app. And I’m a keen learner of the piano. Have you thought about adding the sheet music to the app too? I know it’s more difficult than I’m describing but maybe even the acoustic songs? I say this as Boyce Avenue plays a beautiful version of “I wanna dance with somebody” and I cannot find the piano sheet music anywhere and trying to learn it by ear, which is difficult. Just an idea I’d throw out there. Thank you for reading!

I can’t stress enough about this idea and how adding it to your premium version. There’s billions of musicians in the world and this idea opens it up to them and non musicians. It also allows a compete with the likes of YouTube etc in that element of video learning etc.

The idea is to generate not only lyrics on your app but also the music in relation. Especially acoustic covers and such like. If you are able to not only give the lyrics but also the music for songs, I think you open up to a new market and able to charge a premium on your premium. This enables not only singers to your platform but also music producers and such like. Hope you understand my concept. I am more that happy to chat this through with a representative. Thank you. I agree it's a wonderful idea.

Artist can have the opportunity to sell access to their sheet music should they have it transcribed. Adds an element of personal musical connection between artist and audience.

Otherwise, tabs and chords may be a simpler way for any Spotify users to be able to collaborate and contribute their own versions.

I just had the same thought but because of a different reason! its also great for listening to in general classical music while reading the sheetmusic. i do that a lot on youtube but the using experience is not great. also spotify has way more recordings of classical music and in better quality. for classical music lots of sheet music is abailable freely on imslp maybe that helps, though i dont know how the rights situation is for that. 

is it possible to build such an app by using the spotify API? could be an interesting project!
