Start/Resume Playback API "uris" Question

Hello I am trying to use the Start/Resume playback endpoint to play a selection of tracks for the user in a certain order. However, I noticed that when I insert a JSON array of the track uris that I want to play, the order of the array is not preserved and the tracks play in a random order. I would like the tracks to play in the exact order they are in the array. Is it designed this way or is there a workaround to this. Thanks in advance.
