Tracks played with Web Playback SDK don't appear in recent history

Hello!

I recently noticed that if I play a track with the Web Playback SDK, it won't appear in the me/player/recently-played API endpoint results.

I seem to remember that this was the case before. Has this recently been changed?

In any case,  are the tracks supposed to appear there, or is it a conscious decision to not record playing history for Web Playback sessions?

Could someone please provide an answer to this question, or justify why third party app playback is not recorded in the playback history?

Is there another way to retrieve said history?
