Web API: Missing feature to search for multiple tracks,artist per request

I just wrote a detailed and outlined 'article' detailing the problem. But an 'unexpected error occurred'. The fact of the matter is, as stated in the title. 

I cannot find a way to search for multiple tracks or artists with one request.

Please tell me I have simply overlooked something in the documentation. I
