Web Playback SDK doesn't work in Safari

I am developing an app that integrates the Web Playback SDK, but I am having severe issues with Safari, all other browsers work well but when I test it in Safari, I can't hear anything.

Looks like player.activateElement() is not accomplishing well the Safari policy in the last version of Safari.

I'm having the same problem with desktop and mobile Safari.
Calling activateElement apparently has no effect.
