Why was my domain rejected for containing 'Spotify' when others like statsforspotify.com exist?

Hello Spotify Community,

I recently applied for access to the Spotify API and received a rejection on the grounds that my domain name contains the word 'Spotify'. I respect the guidelines set by Spotify; however, I'm perplexed as I have noticed other websites, such as 'statsforspotify.com', that also incorporate 'Spotify' in their domain name and seem to be operating without issues.

I have reached out to the Spotify team with this observation in an appeal, but I have yet to receive a response. I'm writing here in hopes of understanding the criteria better and seeking clarity on how these rules are consistently applied. It would be beneficial for developers like myself if the guidelines on domain naming were clearer or if there were a more transparent review process.

I truly appreciate any insights or experiences shared by fellow developers or the Spotify team regarding this matter.

In my honest opinion would I think that this domain name was owned by Spotify, and they want to prevent this. I saw mymusicjourney.com did not have a website yet.

Ok but how can "statsforspotify.com" get confirmed

Because in that URL it's "for" Spotify, not "by" Spotify.
