audio_features error: Max Retries, reason: too many 429 error responses

I'm trying to use Spotipy to extract audio features from multiple albums/playlists and write the response to a csv file for analysis which was working fine for a couple hours and then I started getting the error "Max Retries, reason: too many 429 error responses" after every call to audio_features() no matter how many requests I made (single track or batch of tracks). Its days later now and I've run into this 95% of the time (there have been 2 random instances since its started where it has worked). I've tried clearing the cache between runs and extending the back_off factor to try and resolve this, but no luck yet.

You will hit the rate limit much quicker with an app in development mode. This mode is for testing, and not for data mining.
