how to request new scopes?

I have developer "apps" that already have the quota extension that need additional OAuth scopes.

I cannot find any way to request these.  do I need to create an entirely new "app"?

No, creating a new app isn't necessary. Try signing into the Developer Dashboard at developer.spotify.com and tapping on the name of your app.

On the app detail page you should see a green link that allows you to request a scope extension. Hope this helps!

thank you for the response... I've been all over the dashboard but I'm not seeing whatever you think I should see.

maybe this is because that "app" was setup probably 8mo ago?  has it changed with new "apps"?
