spotify data cant be reached when deployed but works in local

Solved!

spotify data cant be reached when deployed but works in local

Hi everyone. I thought it would be a fun project to make a website for my friends birthday and a feature I added in is artist/genre/track evaluation from spotify. Everything works locally but when I deployed to Render.com (https://robify.onrender.com/#), Logging into spotify works but I keep getting 401 errors when I try to actually do the evaluation. I'm a little confused because I understand this is an access token issue but again, it completely works locally so i'm not sure what the issue is

Hi @Salomekhel,

Just to confirm: have you added the new redirect URI to your app's Dashboard and saved the changes? Also, have you updated it in your code before deploying?

Additionally, please note that newly created apps start in Development mode, so only accounts on the allowlist can access your app.

Hey! Thanks for your response. Yes I added the new redrect Uri to my app's dashboard and saved the changes. Does this mean I need to somehow change the app intro production mode? How do I do that?

Hi! Yes the new redirect URI was added to my app's dashboard and the changes we all saved. My app is still in development mode so maybe that is the issue! I am submitting a form to make it public and hopefully it works from there 🙂 Thanks
