Hello,

I have just received confirmation that I am eligible for the student discount for Spotify. When I go to activate it with payment, it says that I have had a trial before, although I have only used this account a few months ago and have used only the free version.  I will attach pictures to further explain.

Thanks

Oh that is odd indeed.

Can you try using a different device and/or a different payment method?

Let me know,

Jack

Hello and welcome to the Spotify Community!

Have you used the payment method you tried to use in another Spotify account?

Have you tried to subscribe to the offer in an incognito/private mode window?

Hey @user-removed thanks for reaching out to the Spotify Community.

The reason you are unavailable to subscribe to this offer is because your account has used it's 30 say free trial for premium. This deal registers that you get a 90 day trial IF you have never had premium before. Unfortunately because you have used you trial your current account is unable to subscribe to this deal. Never fear, you can create a new account on Spotify and transfer your playlists via the desktop app. Let me know what you do.

Best,

  • Jack 🙂

The thing is, I haven’t used any sort of trial and I’m getting that I did.  That’s why I’m asking

Ill

make another account.

Thanks for the reply.  I managed to fix everything and switched to another service. Thanks for your help!

Glad to hear switching accounts worked!
